Yaoundé is hosting the event from April 22 to 26 at the Palais des Congrès.
An initiative from the African Islamic Finance Consulting (AIFC) firm of our compatriot Hassan Belibi Noah, the first financial engineering firm specializing in Islamic finance which intends to make, through this second edition, an overall important contribution to the inclusive and sustainable development of local authorities. decentralized (CTD) in Cameroon. With loving theme “Islamic Finance and inclusive and sustainable development of regions in Cameroon”, this second edition will have a complementary training offer on April 25 and 26 after 3 days of information on April 22, 23 and 24. This desire of the AIFC cabinet aims to improve the economic environment of the countries of the sub-region, victims of exogenous and even endogenous constraints despite a declared political will.
The prosperity and development of the territories continue to face certain problems despite the legal framework put in place by the governments of the Cemac countries which celebrated the 30th anniversary of this economic and financial institution under the very evocative theme: the Cemac of peoples. Unlike West Africa, Central Africa is struggling to take off despite integrative projects. Several reasons are mentioned, the practices of microfinance and banks, interest rates and the transfer of risks most often inappropriate and unfair.
AIFC (African Islamic Finance Consulting) aims to be this partner of choice alongside CTDs by providing them with a different vision of financing short, medium and long-term projects through Islamic finance.
According to the organizers, it is on the basis of an appropriate study of the socio-economic environment and with solid experience in innovative financing mechanisms that solutions will be proposed to decentralized local authorities to facilitate the financial decentralization which should lead to the improvement of the living environment and, in turn, the well-being of populations. The CTDs thus find in the AIFC an ideal partner for supporting local development actors alongside the CTDs themselves.
