Activities related to IWD 2024 at Minsanté

The Ladies of the Ministry of Public Health come to the aid of abandoned elderly people taken care of by the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Charity of Simbock in Yaoundé.

They demonstrated their generosity on Wednesday March 6, 2024, during the visit to the reception premises of the said congregation for the sick and abandoned elderly people. The residents of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mother Theresa, Missionaries of Charity of Simbock in Yaoundé, had unforgettable moments.

Indeed, they received the Ladies of the Heart from the Ministry of Public Health. It was on the occasion of activities marking the celebration of the 39th edition 2024 of International Women's Rights Day. Responsible for donations of various kinds: food, sanitation, toiletries and bedding, the team led by Dr. KOUAKAP Solange, General Inspector of Pharmaceutical Services and Laboratories (IGSPL), with hand on heart, wanted to show its compassion to these elderly people abandoned and taken care of by the Congregation of the Missionaries of Charity of Simbock.

A gesture of generosity welcomed and praised by the Sisters of the said Congregation. The latter did not fail to express their great gratitude for this mark of attention. “The magnitude of the said donation is an immeasurable support which will ease our efforts to take care of all these abandoned elderly people.”

Memorable moments, punctuated by prayers for the sick and a guided tour of the premises allowed the Ladies of MINSANTE to get an idea of the efforts made by the Congregation of the Missionaries of Charity of Simbock, mainly dedicated to the poor, and specialized in support for the sick and abandoned people.

By speaking, Madam IGSPL first thanked the Head of Department, Dr MANAOUDA Malachie, for the facilities he granted to the ladies of his ministry, as part of this activity. She subsequently congratulated the Missionary Sisters of the Congregation of Charity of Simbock, for the immense charitable and humanitarian work which brings comfort to these abandoned people. Remember that the theme of March 8, 2024 edition is: “Investing in women: accelerating the pace”. Five key areas that require joint action to prevent women from being left behind. Investing in women, a human rights issue.
