Dressed in white and aware of the advantage secured by the opponent in the first leg of the final, everything was put in place to experience a match of high intensity. Because the duty to overcome a one-goal deficit was urgent. Zamalek was the first club to show danger and was rewarded in the 23rd minute through Ahmed Hamdi. 1-0, the CAF Confederation Cup trophy was at that moment in the hands of the Cairo team, thanks to the away goal scored. But a few minutes later, the hero of the day got injured and was replaced just before the end of the first half.
In the second half, the intensity of the encounter doubled
Ibrahima Ndiaye's teammates, returning from the locker rooms, regroup in defense to counter the numerous offensive assaults from the Moroccans.
