International Women's Day 2024: MINTP staff benefit from awareness raising

MINTP staff benefit from awareness raising and free screening.

The day of Wednesday March 6, 2024 was dedicated to raising awareness and screening female MINTP staff on behalf of the 39th edition of IWD. The Secretary of State at the Ministry of Public Works in charge of roads, Armand Ndjodom, chaired the launch of activities dedicated to the awareness and disease screening day at the General Inspection room. He has also raised staff awareness of the issue of illnesses and conditions which are a threat to health and professional development.

To this end, the MINTP staff benefited from a free screening session for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), such as chlamydia, vaginal herpes and HIV AIDS. This initiative aims to raise awareness among women of the importance of prevention and treatment of these conditions which can have serious consequences on their health and fertility. The theme chosen by the MINTP for this celebration is: “Development of road infrastructure: involvement of women for a prosperous Cameroon”.
