On the site, the Sinohydro company in charge of the work is increasing the number of workshops to be able to deliver this 62.1 km section on Nationale 15. To date, the physical progress of the work is 56.91%.
The work in progress on the Mankim-Meteing section concerns both the road layers and the structures. Over the entire length, the foundation layer is completely completed, i.e. over a length of 61,230 ml, as is the base layer.
The length of the wearing course already implemented is 28,907 ml (28.907 km) and the two-layer coating currently implemented extends over 16,261 ml. As for the works, the construction of 40 culverts and the 11 culverts planned has been completed. The remaining work for this center concerns the bridges. Eight large-scale structures are thus under construction, with 98/132 prefabricated beams and progress levels ranging from 15 to 76%. For work 9 under construction, we note that the 22 completed beams have been installed, the 12 piles are completed and the work in progress concerns the supports, bosses and reinforcement of the deck.
The project aims to complete the construction work on the Mankim – Meteing section with a length of 62.1 km including the Tsap Tsap - Megang municipal road with a length of 38,400 km, for an amount of 27,482 760,610 CFA francs excluding tax co-financed by Cameroon, the ADB (African Development Bank), JAICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency).
