With the completion of work on the Babadjou-Matazem section, the pace of execution of services is increasingly satisfactory on this second section of the Babadjou-Bamenda road in the North-West region. At the beginning of April 2024, the Bun's company has almost completed the construction of the works and the emphasis is currently placed on the roadworks.
The pace of work in the coming weeks will determine the delivery of the Babadjou-Bamenda road reconstruction project. On this 18 km section which goes from Matazem to Welcome to Bamenda, the Bun’s company has improved its performance in recent weeks. The question of works which was worrying has found a solution with to date, 50 hydraulic works completed and 02 under construction and in progress, the pouring of the deck of the hydraulic work located at kilometer point 6 +925.
According to the work schedule, these works will be completed before the heavy rainy season. Concerning the roadworks, the related workshops concern both the creation of the foundation layer in 0/31.5 with 12 km carried out over 18,050 km and the implementation of the base layer, in grave bitumen. At the beginning of April, we note that 5.7 km of base layer have been completed.
On a completely different level, we observe that the work, since its resumption, has taken place without incident and with the collaboration of local populations, despite the restrictions imposed by days of interruption.
