Minproff exhibition

Highlight feminine dynamism

The Minister for the Promotion of Women and the Family proceeded yesterday Tuesday to the official opening of the exhibition fair with the cutting of the symbolic ribbon at the national museum as part of the activities relating to the celebration of the 39th edition of the International Women's Day on March 8. Open since last Monday, this space for sharing and exchanging experiences has allowed several actors in Cameroonian society to move around on this site to combine business with pleasure. This is the case of the CDHC which has once again highlighted its toll-free number 1523 for anonymous denunciations of cases of abuse or rights violations.

On the other side, it is Elecam (Elections Cameroon) which opened a stand to enlist a few citizens to allow them to have an electoral card because voting is a civic act. And what about the CPFF (center for the promotion of women and the family) which supervises young people in learning a profession who compete with each other to attract all visitors. A popular adage says that a healthy man is a sick man who does not know which is why several screening sites are available on the site ranging from blood sugar to HIV testing. How can we forget the dance groups which give a carnivalesque tone to this fair which ends this Thursday, March 7. Just one congratulations women!

Antoine Claude Daka Tcheuffa, communications manager Ceneema

« The national center for the study and experimentation of agricultural machinery is the secular arm of the State in agropastoral mechanization in Cameroon. We are supporting public authorities in the implementation and development of mechanized agriculture, maintenance and development of agropastoral areas. And as for specifically our presence here at the national museum at the Minproff fair relating to IWD 2024, it is a question of showing a little of what we do on a daily basis in relation to the fairer sex which relies on the theme which is  “Investing in women, accelerating the pace”. At Ceneema, a lot is done in favor of women, our training center welcomes more women for each training course and the best ones are retained. Many operate heavy machinery and have knowledge of small-scale mechanics in order to react during their work in the field. Also in terms of responsibilities, several women occupy positions of responsibility, from tractor drivers or office managers to directors, including general director Andrée Caroline MebandeEkotto Minkouna who integrates the gender approach and continues to allow Ceneema women to benefit from training or capacity building workshops in different areas of IT, accounting, etc. ».

Mme Marie Thérèse Obama épse Abena Ondoa, Minproff

« We have seen the ingenuity of women, the diversity of female entrepreneurship. We saw products from several sectors of activity (agricultural, fish farming, ornamental), the catering area. Everyone is invited to this fair because it shows the genius of Cameroonian and African women because some stands are run by women of other nationalities. ».
