Cédric Ndoumbè is defeated by referee's decision against Baki Chamsoudinov in the third round at the Accor Arena in Bercy on March 7, 2024. The boxer of Cameroonian origin had discomfort in his toe and referee Marc Goddard stopped the fight, making Baki the winner.
The fight between Cédric Ndoumbè and Baki was eagerly awaited by boxing fans around the world. The two men faced each other in MMA in Bercy as part of PFL Europe. PFL is English boxing, a branch of MMA which only allows points. Unlike the UFC which is a general fight involving all parts of the human body. Indeed, the fight between Baki and Ndoumbè turned to the advantage of the young Baki by decision of the jury. The referee decided to end this fight in the third round after Cédric Ndoumbè stuck a splinter in his toe.
This controversial decision was poorly received in the packed Bercy Arena, and won over to the Cameroonian's cause. The public is calling for a rematch between the two boxers. No one would have imagined such a scenario during a high-level fight. An incident occurred and put an end to this duel that had been expected for about a year. However, the fight seemed balanced in the first round before observing Cédric's blow-by-blow domination in the second round. Knowing the performance of Cédric Ndoumbè, winner of his last fight in France with a KO in 09 seconds against Jordan Zebo, we should have let the fight come to an end. But the referee made a courageous decision to stop the fight against Ndoumbè's wishes. He made Baki the winner of the game. Except that this decision is not unanimous. Baki has accepted a revenge from Cédric Ndoumbè which will be scheduled shortly and which promises to be sparkling.

During the two and a half rounds, the two opponents showed off to the public at the Bercy Arena. Everyone spoke in their preferred field. Very experienced in the UFC, Baki dictated his behavior to Cédric Ndoumbè by sending him to the mat several times. The Franco-Cameroonian did not humiliate himself. He progressed in the fight, leaving Baki no respite. But it must be recognized that at the end of the first round the outlook for victory leaned in favor of Baki. In the second round Cédric Ndoumbè reversed the dice keeping a good position to place his shots.

The two men are in a duel. Then Cédric Ndoumbè makes a save and shows his injury to his opponent and the referee. This momentary stop reveals the presence of a glass splinter. The Cameroonian asks for a few minutes to remove it and continue the fight. The referee in turn decides to interrupt the game following a misunderstanding. He thus declared Chamsoudinov Baki the winner by KO. A disgruntled Cédric Ndoumbè offered a revenge to his opponent who accepted. It remains to set the date and place for this revenge which promises to be epic.
