The day of March 8, 2024 was the choice of the managerial team of the artist Locko to celebrate his 10 years of career at the multipurpose sports palace in Yaoundé. The meeting displays a great success in its orchestration and in its communication approach which did not leave aside such a spectacle rich in colors and emotions, in full celebration of International Women's Rights Day, 2024 edition, but on the contrary, comes out with some beautiful photos. On one side a warm and massively present audience sharing the star's rich repertoire and on the other, one of the most beautiful warmth of a woman, the maternal warmth of Locko's mother, who also chose this day to address him with words full of maternal affection: “I would like to tell my son today what he never knew. During the most difficult times, during the times of annoyance, what do I do? I put on his music. I am proud of you my son”. Deep words that reminded this woman of the first day she discovered that her son was singing and that he was letting emotions escape through his vocal cords. Emotions that remained clinging to her mother's smile towards her son.
It was an equally spectacular atmosphere, with the imperial entry of the artist Locko onto the stage which took place under the footsteps of Ngondo, illustrating his origins as a Sawa son, who saw the participation of a collective of young professional dancers from several cities in Cameroon (Yaoundé, Douala, Buea, Bafoussam). A production of which he is the author assisted by Adah Akenji who also covered the concert. An organization brilliantly carried out by the locomotive team with the support of the Yaoundé multipurpose sports center and the Easy Group label.
In this success, the pre-event was especially remarkable with the support of several artists and media who contributed to the production of the live show of the 10-year career of the artist Locko; numerous tickets, all categories combined, were purchased by several stars of 237. We note the unconditional support of Aloch 237, Moustik Karismatik, Janéa, Salatiel, Koppo, Lady Ponce, Taphis, Asaba, Lil Jay Bingerack, Steve Fah, Rinyu , Ulrich Takam, Jas B, Soul Bova, Krys m, Willy Mba and many others... A whole who's who of show and biz to write the story of Arthur Locko's 10-year career.
In front of an audience proud of his talent and his immense work, he covered his rich repertoire between albums and singles without forgetting numerous collaborations included in his career, committed for already 10 years today and which allowed him to win prizes. numerous awards: 5 Canal d'Or awards (Best male urban music artist or group, Best musical revelation, Best videogram of the title Ndutu during the year 2017, Best male artist in 2019, Best male artist in 2021), 01 awards AFRIMA as Best Male Artist from Central Africa in 2017, 07 prizes at the Balafon Music Awards (Best song divine inspiration with the song thankyou lord and Best Collaboration on the title supporter with Mr Léo in 2017, Male voice of the year and Album of of the year with the album cloud 9 in 2019, Male voice of the year and Album of the year with the album Locked up in 2020, Best artist of the decade in 2022). He is also known as being the first to reach one million listeners on Spotify, the first sold out live performance new generation, the 2nd representative of Cameroon at Coke Studio in 2017 after the group X-Maléya and among other coaches the Voice Africa. the most brilliant moment of this live show of his 10-year career was his performance on stage which overall was top notch. Note that his love for cinema and comedy combines with his musical artist dimension.
After these 10 years of celebration splendidly lived on March 8, 2024 at the Yaoundé sports palace, a new page opens for Locko to face new challenges and remain among the best for the next 10 years where we will be able to the opportunity to celebrate his 20 years of career.
