The female staff of the National Assembly, including the Deputies and of course the staff of the Auguste Institution, met today, Friday March 8, 2023 at the deputies' hotel, to close in style the celebration of the International Day of the woman.
It is with great joy that our Amazons took part in intense activities linked to the celebration of the 39th edition of this Day dedicated to them.
The maternal instinct that drives these brave ladies could not leave them indifferent to the many abandoned children who live in our various reception centers, so, with hand on heart, the “Marche en Avant” orphanage in Soa will do the subject to a raid on Monday February 4, 2024. Visit led by the Honorable Muyali Boya Mary Epse Meboka, Vice-President of the National Assembly. Which will mark the first stage of the activities of this magnificent celebration.
The parade on Boulevard du 20 Mai which constitutes act 2 of the celebration of International Women's Day will also be the flagship activity of the morning of March 8, 2024 under the coordination of the First Lady of the Republic of Cameroon Madame Chantal BIYA.
In the afternoon, a magnificent gala was offered by the President of the National Assembly at the Hôtel des Deputies where, from 2 p.m., our valiant Queens of the August Institution converged en masse. The ladies of the National Assembly were accompanied on this happy occasion by senior executives of the administration of the Institution, including the Secretary General and his deputies, technical advisors, project managers, Directors, etc.
An evening rich in color and brilliance in a very festive atmosphere highlighting the cultural diversity which characterizes our very dear and beautiful country both musically and culinaryly.
The joy and enthusiasm that could be seen on the faces of our brave ladies testified to the healthy emulation, the satisfaction but also the success of this ceremony which ended with a free track around 7 p.m.
