Through a donation of 500 loincloths amounting to FCFA 5 million and FCFA 1 million in cash, the deputy of the nation wanted to encourage the women of Nkambe on the occasion of the 39th edition of International Women's Day
« We are one, we are together, we are one! » In easy French, “We are one, we are together....and we are indivisible”.
This is the heartfelt cry that comes from the women of Nkambe, Donga Mantung department, North-West region this March 8, 2024 on the occasion of the celebration of the 39th edition of International Women's Day.
All around, women from the four corners of Nkambe responded massively to the festival square for the traditional parade under the gaze of administrative and traditional authorities and distinguished guests.
Far from the sad events of February 11, the women of Nkambe wanted to send a strong signal through this great mobilization.
A mobilization which bears the stamp of the Honorable NgalaGérard who wanted to pay a vibrant tribute to these women who spare no effort to guarantee food security, peace and prosperity in Nkambe and its surroundings.
The deputy of the nation therefore wanted to encourage these women through a donation of 500 loincloths to the tune of FCFA 5 million and a sum of one million CFA francs. A gesture highly praised by these women who in addition to expressing their gratitude wanted to make a strong commitment to support any initiative to consolidate peace in the department of Donga Mantung.
For the departmental delegate for the Promotion of Women and the Family, Chantal Neng Mubele, this strong mobilization of the women of Nkambe demonstrates their attachment to the values of the republic and the person who embodies it.
