The construction of the Ntui-Ndjolé road can now be addressed in terms of remaining tasks, in view of the progress of work on the ground. Indeed, as of April 15, 2024, we note that the foundation layer completed covers 59,875 km and the base layer executed extends over 50,600 km and the wearing course already implemented covers a length of 31,500 km.
As of April 15, 2024, the progress of construction work on this 60 km section linking Ntui and Ndjolé shows that the cutting, backfilling and purging are 100% completed with a platform completed at 99.79. A performance which now allows the company to concentrate on road work and, more importantly, surfacing. The implementation of the wearing course started a few weeks ago, with 31,500 km covered to date, or a little more than half of the length. The structures constructed, notably the scuppers and culverts, number 81 and the construction work on the bridge over the Méloko River continues with a progress rate of 56.86%. The foundations of the structure, the supports, the beams and the riprap have been completed and the access embankments will be completed in the coming days. It should also be noted that the ditches lined with the aim of ensuring longitudinal drainage cover 37,765 ml.
The general progress of work on the Ntui-Ndjolé section stands at 72.97% with an expected completion in the coming weeks. There will therefore remain work to develop municipal roads, the total length of which is 73 km. However, it is emphasized that the municipal road development work, entrusted to subcontractors, is not being carried out at a satisfactory pace.
