The countdown has begun


In preparation for the upcoming double Event that the city of Yaoundé is about to host, the 4th CIMEC from May 22nd to 24th at the congress hall under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, H.E Paul Biya, with the theme "betrayal of the geological potential to the production of mining deposits as a means to strengthen economic growth in the sub-region." At the same time, the Council of Ministers of the member countries of the ACP Group, which has 79 members, including around fifty delegations, will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé on May 23rd and 24th. This double event is organized in collaboration with the European Union delegation.


In collaboration with the ACP (African, Caribbean, and Pacific Group of States), Cameroon aims to showcase its energy potential to make it a hub in Central Africa.

The program includes a meeting of mines ministers from African, Caribbean, and Pacific countries, as well as a meeting between about sixty foreign ministers from the ACP and the EU to decide on the future of critical minerals needed for the energy transition. Over three days, the city of seven hills will be buzzing with B to B negotiations, country meetings, and signing of agreements, with the aim of making Yaoundé the new financial negotiation hub for mining projects in Central Africa.



The will to decarbonize as quickly as possible using renewable energies to replace fossil fuels. And it must be said, the People's Republic of China is leading the charge in this race for ecological transition. It must be said, the European Union plans to stop manufacturing fossil fuel cars by 2035 and the EU has already signed 12 MoUs (memorandums of understanding) in this direction with 12 countries, including 4 African countries, as indicated by Jean-Marc Chataigner, Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea.
